Agenda for January 27th Meeting

1. Introduce new officers and discuss new roles so that people know how to go to contact folks

• VP: Marika
• Secretary: Rebecca
• Treasurer: Kristine
• Events Coordinators: Kevin and Peter
• Merchandiser: Paige
• Mentor-Mentee: Jackie

2. Talk about how we are going to condense our roles and that we would like to take a vote to change the constitution via voting on org sync

• Web-Master and secretary combined: Rebecca
• Fundraising and Community service (Events coordinator): Kevin and Peter
• Graduate Liaison absorbed into Vice President role
• Paige is merchandise and would like to be an SRJC liaison with Skye
• Mentor for pre-nursing students is Jackie: so we want to make sure Jackie makes herself available to them and assures them that we will involve them more; Jackie needs to be introduced to the pre-nursing liaisons and exchange contact information so they can communicate to each other what the pre-nursing students need.

3. Make announcement about survey being available for the nursing club on their org sync website and have them do it before the next meeting (February 10th)

• Nursing Club is undergoing changes! What do you want to see?

4. Make announcement: 2nd Wednesday of every month meetings will be held at 10 am with an officer meeting piggy-backed off of it to prep next agenda and meeting

• Meeting Dates: 2/10, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11

5. Talk with pre-nursing students about a date before their nursing application deadlines to answer questions: Would they like to schedule a pre-nursing Q&A and coordinate with Paige to invite SRJC students; Clarify that it is DIFFERENT than the information session with the director; this is from the student’s perspective.

6. If we want to go to National Student Nurse Association conference next October, we can apply for grants to pay for our membership dues to the NSNA (we will have to apply for membership), as well as conference attending fees; Kristine and Shauna will be looking into applying for grants (apply through orgsync).
